I hope the students have filled the forms for NTSE because the first last date was 29 Aug, however few states have extended the last date. Please check with your respective states for the same.
Now here are some tips for the preparation. As you know this exam has got two papers of MAT and SAT, 90 questions each. Really speaking MAT is a very scoring subject; a little bit attention towards MAT will help you to clear NTSE.
Syllabus and Sample Paper
You should have an idea of the syllabus; generally the syllabus is up to the class VIII level what is taught in the schools. It will be a nice idea to have a look at the sample papers.
Preparing for MAT
Mental Ability Test paper has 90 questions covering around 25 topics. However the maximum questions from not more than 15-16 topics. Topics such as Calendar, clock where a students typically spends lot of time hardly find any question in the paper where as the 50% of the papers comes from the series, coding and analogy. You need to devise your strategy according to this where you need to practice as much as possible MAT questions. You can go through the study material.
Preparing for SAT
There are 40 questions from Science and 30 questions from Social Science and 20 questions from Maths. Social Science will have questions from Civics, History and Geography. In History generally you will find more questions from modern India
Practice and Practice
At the end of the day you need lot of practice, you may join the test series organized by the different coaching institutes which will be able to give you the exact idea of the types of the questions which are asked in the exam as well as it will show your relative performance.

ncert is thinking that all fools are appearing for the ntse.it is but natural whenever somebody appears for the exam, naturally one will wait for the result. dear friends nearabout 3 months are going to be elapsed, but no result. when first stage result declared that time madhya pradesh authority responsible for ntse exam have played with the children. now the turn is of ntse. lakhs of users are watching but nobody is approaching to the higher authority. already i have complain to the higher officers. now pani to sar se uper chad raha hai. dubne se achha hai tair kar kinara par kar lenge.
