NCERT needs to be accountable

i am reproducing a very good comment received from the parent against my post

Taking and releasing NTSE result is merely not a work to be done at NCERT officials for the ground that they have not charged any fees for the examination but moral duty to do & respect the quality students who are going to clear the examination.
NCERT releases schedule for next year examination and the only part which the notification lacks is Date of result which should be loud enough to be understood just as they declare last date of submission, date of examination, who will be responsible for different stages of examinations, etc etc. Then why not date of declaration of result & date of awards.Even this should be the part of notification.
This is much necessary today when rest of all the guess have failed even people have tired of waiting and lastly now people have started fearing something may go wrong.
State should have the policy to develope sense of security among all its nationals/the citizens.
Is this true today when
I am gonna write to Sh kapil sibal and NCERT sr authorities tonight.
will you too......

It is really amazing that somebody is sitting that side, waking up once in a while, picking the phone to give an utterly callous reply. Frankly speaking, I do not believe that they have the heart and intention to show any concern for the emotions and travails of so many parents and their wards

BEIEVE IT OR NOT ABOUT NCERT -
TEST YOURSELF -
1. This is some interesting thing I would sure like to tell you all here -
Call NCERT phone number ask your query (Like when the result iss likely to come etc )and then lastly ask "the name of man/women on other side" to make sure who you were talking to / asking, so that this would be easier for you to ask the same person again. We all do them same practice in our everyday life.
You will find an interesting outcome, invariably you will get same answer "NCERT se bol rahein hein" You do all the effort but the smart fellows will never give you their name. (OR will give you a name which you will never find again)
2. Call any number say Director's number and ask - you invariablly get the same number which is given on the site and same will happen again.
3. People at NCERT will not entertain you directly / personally no matter you go by your own means spending hundreds of Rupees to see them. Pray them or beg them but answer will be same why you have come here, go and see website.
4. There is no queery or complaint section at their site where you can directly write you problem only resort left is write you grievances to any officer / cool down yourself and eat good at home and forget about the episode..
5. Finally if you happend to see any of these NCERT fellows stuck up in traffic voilation, the same people would gladly tell you that I am in section of NCERT who hold NTSE examination. (There he has a name in a try to save Rs 100/- penalty)
Isn't this surprising fact - try it yourself.

yes ncert is only giving vague answers, I have been calling up regularly since begining Jul and everytime they say the result will be published next week or that they don't know. Its a shame!

There are handful kids who have appeared for second stage. Can't understand when will govt shed its lethargic attitude .

please tell average cut-off !

it would be in between 145 and 150

Between 145 - 150? I wonder what may be the source when NCERT itself is in deep hibernation.

when will the result will be out on web site....

Anonymous said...

if you call ncert they simply don't answer but if they attend your call and you start asking them questions they may end up fighting with you.whatever always try to call them and if they attend your call you may ask them.they have become so careless about the result, i hope that it comes soon.every time they answer they simply say that it's coming next week.what a shame it is,even they don't know when is the result going to be declared.

It seems as if NCERT has taken a lesson of postponing the result to next week or so from Madhya Pradesh.
Last year the result was out on 5 july. It is high time now to declare the result!!!!

Great news!!!!!!!
Hindi version of the new NCERT website (under testing).
Now we know where everybody in NCERT is so busy!!!!
Needless to say no Stage-2 results till "(under testing)" gets converted to "(tested)".
Hats off to NCERT for this masterstroke. Now it is very easy to pass on the buck.

We, along with our daughter, have been following these posts for the past 8 days or so. Going through the range of emotions expressed by students, parents and others was an overwhelming experience. The posts were so much full of anger, disgust, sarcasm, doubt, disdain, and multitude of other emotions. Still among all the cynicism you cannot miss the voices that still have hope, belief & patience. We Indians still possess these wonderful virtues.
Last year the final results (post interview) for NTSE were declared in September. This year since the interview is done away with; it is natural and logical for us to expect an early declaration of results. But what is natural and logical to us may not be for NCERT. They may still maintain the old dates for declaration of results, and the reasons can be many. One of the most convincing statistical reasons is the crowding of huge number of candidates in a small band. In this case it becomes extremely difficult to maintain the final numbers, which I believe is 1000. If they consider the band then the number goes beyond the budget, otherwise they fall short. There are many other methods to overcome this and still come out with segregation within a group having same marks, like giving different weightage to difficult questions, age of candidate, etc. Some of the other probable reasons are: (a) The answer scripts are yet to be evaluated (b) The post selection processes, dates and programs are exactly like last year; so why the urgency.
On the other hand it is extremely frustrating when you find no reasons for NCERT not putting up a simple message on their web-site regarding the result dates? Similarly, how the people at NCERT can be so unfeeling and downright rude when you call them over phone? Is it so difficult to evaluate 4000 odd candidates over a period of two months when the questions were all objective type?
I dread to even think that something has horribly gone wrong which NCERT is not disclosing.

Before commenting and feel all is well remember that in case of too much delay NCERT has all the right to cancel the result and again organize exam for next year. This is on the ground that they do not charge any fees for your exam and also it is not obligatory for them to announce the result every year.
This is siple to understand as they have omitted interview just while the process was on and they donot have to wait or follow their own notification.
So readers and blog administrator wake up and do something, people are quite patient and later would not do anything because working class is too busy to do anything much for their kids. They haven't done much for themselves against corruption and finally claspping that Anna will do for them. They are happy reading NEWS Papers only.
Remember, they have right by virtue of the Act.
Please wake up else would be late.

Dear All
remember-
1. they do not have a complaint or any place on their site where you can write to them. Complaint must be there as a matter of fact,
regarding NTSE they give yahoo id whereas they have ...ncert@nic.in for their official use.(Surprised)
2.they do not have any permanent link for results when it is a regular feature for ncert. They have all the rest of the links. (shocking)
3. They have never never done earlier does n't mean they cannot do this time also. They can pass on as zero year any year, as it is not obligatory, rather they give you scholarship as assistance. they are masters for excuses and you will be one for the fatefull year. Nothing can be done after once they do so.
4. This cannot be challenged in any courts as it is neither obligatory nor causes any damage to you. Please do understand this.

Its not too late but anything after the last date of 2011-2012 application may call for zero year.
You have one month to ask them make them announce a fixed date for declaration of result.
Else they will pass all the time telling another 15 days and later you know what may happen....

The result will most probably be declared in September like last year's final result. The National Council of Easygoing Revellers and Teasers ko kya padha hua hai ki result jaldi nikaal dena chahiye?????? Unko to sone se hi phursat nahin.

Is it possible for you to take up the results issue with the director? Or does anyone have any contacts in any leading news paper in delhi so that NCERT takes notice of this issue? As Raj and others have pointed it out NCERT has to feel the urgency and declare results.
