how RTI can do wonders ?

We need to very forth coming with asking questions because with out questions no system can have transparency in the system. Here is a classic example what RTI can do in.

Adarsh Gupta S/o Y.B. Gupta is workshop student of Class VIII at Resonance Bhopal Centre. He appeared for NTSE-Stage-I conducted by M.P. State. He was not selected as per the result declared by NTSE. We asked the query about answer key of question paper and his OMR and marks obtained in exam through RTI on 23.03.12. They provided all details and he got 140.78 marks. But the cutoff GE category according to result was 140.80. So to know the no. of seats in MP state and rules for filling the seats and reservation quota, copy of rules to give weightage of wrong question and taking the correct answer of Q.80 from Hindi version (MAT) instead of English version. We filed RTI-2 on 04.04.12 they provided the exact no. of seat (319) which includes 15% SC and 7.5% ST and  3% Physically challenger but result was not according to the NCERT instruction. They give 16% for SC and 20% for ST in reservation quota. We again filed RTI on 23.04.12 to know why they did not follow the instruction given by NCERT, and why they did not consider the answer of Q.80 (MAT) from English version. Finally they send the above matter to NCERT Delhi to look and NCERT Delhi declare the cutoff of MP State at 140.78 and on basis of this result Adarsh Gupta and two other student selected for NTSE stage-2.
