this
year question paper was bit different as compared to previous years
paper.it comprises two sections:MAT,mental ability test,100 questions,90
minutes.this section was lengthy.students faced few problems in this
section as it demands speed and accuracy.primarily questions were framed
to check the analytical approach of students.some questions were of new
pattern,like:matrix based coding(4 questions),some different pattern
questions from vein diagram, column based coding, combination of
figure.besides this question paper followed previous pattern.it was not
easy for class 8th students to attempt such question paper in90 minutes
with speed, accuracy, cool temperament and patience.the one who had such
characteristics today,did good job.
2.SAT(scholastic aptitude test);it comprises 100 questions in 90 minutes.40 questions from sst,40 science(physics, chem.bio)and 20 from maths.several questions in science and sst were of multiple statement pattern or match the column category.a student having complete and accurate knowledge of subject can attempt succesfully.it was again based on ncert 7th and 8th.MATHS question paper was of average level.questions were from COMMERCIAL MATHS,NUMBER SYSTEM,MENSURATION,GEOMETRY,STATISTICS.

What is the expected cutoff?

hey guys
i am scoring around 168 .What rank will i get? How was the paper for u and all the best for the results
Sat paper was not at all balanced.Questions from unimportant topics were asked in Social science and almost no quesions were aked from The REVOLT OF 1857 chapter.
This is not an ideal way to select the candidates.
The one who has written that he/she is getting 200/200 has written the rubbish on 13th may at 9.03 am when the ntse aspirants were giving mat paper how could he then possibly get the ntse stg 2 ans. Key when the paper wasn't even over!
Maybe he is some magician or an idiot
I'm getting around 166 marks. Is that a good one for selection? Also plz tell when NTSE Stage II 2012 results will be declared.
